IOSH Working Safely
Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this course offers exactly that.
The course covers:
- Identifying hazards and risks in the workplace
- Accidents and their causes
- Identifying and controlling common hazards, such as fire, electricity, chemicals and work equipment
- Improving safety performance
- Protecting our environment
Managing Safely
Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It’s designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.
The course covers:
- Assessing and controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Managing common hazards: fire, electricity, noise, manual handling, chemicals & substance and DSE
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring health and safety performance
- Protecting our environment
Managing Safely Refresher one-day course is also available to update delegates on any changes to legislation and best practices. To be eligible for the refresher course delegates must have passed the corresponding full IOSH course within the last 3 years and provide supporting documentation.
