The aim of the Course:

Our Risk Assessment Training Course is designed to provide candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to comply with the Regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work regs 99. The course will give candidates an understanding of what needs to be risk assessed and how to prioritise the task.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Understand relevant legislation of The Management of Health and Safety at Work regs 99 and other associated legislation.
• Understand the need for Risk Assessments.
• How to calculate and Score Hazards and Risk.
• How to carry out a Specific Risk Assessment.
• Know what limitations we have and how to combat them safely.
• Difference between a Hazard and Risk.
• Positive Engagement/Intervention.
• Produce a suite of Risk Assessments for the designated project.

PPE/Equipment Required:

• Clean clothes for the classroom environment.
• Site relevant PPE.

Method of Delivery

PowerPoint Presentation will be delivered in the classroom and site environment. This is course is interactive and will rely on the delegate’s to provide real-life experiences to make comparisons with. Additionally, there will be sessions involving conducting Risk Assessments.

The Risk Assessment Training Course is suitable for people within a working environment that carry out risk assessments or would like to learn how to perform this activity.
